What do you think about euthanasia ?
I'm probably one of the most religious persons anyone knows. My ideas are ancient and most people think I'm a religious nutjob , but when it comes to euthanasia, I have to say I somewhat agree with it. At least, I agree that if someone is in excruciating pain and there's little to no hope of recovery, the best thing to do would be to put them out of their misery.
I don't know for sure if that coincides with God's word, but I read the Bible daily and I can't imagine the God of the Bible saying, "no, let that person live and suffer." Idk forsure but the fact is death comes for us all. We all have to die one day. So, the only concern from a religious standpoint whole be whether or not that person has made things right with God before going.
I also can not imagine anyone who would watch their loved one in excruciating pain day after day, with no hope of recovery, and not want that person's pain to end. Let them go be with the lord.
However, i have reservations because I doubt that there are sufficient safeguards in place to ensure it will only apply to people who are terminally Ill and in pain. Also, I fear in the future that in order to control the population, people are going to kill children with mental illnesses and handicaps and old people with dementia.
