Why are Mukbang Videos a thing? who likes watching random people eating huge amounts of food for there entertainment? had one show up on my recommended vids on youtube its its bothered me ever since.
I once saw a YouTube channel of a guy who eats Pokemon cards. It was childish -- excusable imo on account of the fact that I was a child, but... actually, I'm gonna go see if I can find 'im now because reminding myself of that, it's kinda funny.
I have watched a few eating videos. Not sure why really as i always feel hungry or sick afterwards. I saw a woman drink 6 litres of cooking oil in under 8 mins. That was gross.
Supposedly it started in Asia. They would eat food and talk about random/interesting things to their viewers, usually live chat.
Then it made its way here and people turned it into something else entirely. I've watched a couple -- I feel both sympathy for them... and a little bit grossed out due to what they're eating and/or talking about.
I went to a restaurant named Mukbang, and as its name suggests it was all you can eat Korean BBQ style. I'm sure if I recorded us while eating it'd rather be a horror movie, quite entertaining.

No idea. They’ve become disgusting and at times are filled with people who have an eating disorder
