What is the coldest temperature you have seen at your house so far this Fall?

I live in Maine and last night it was 3゚ before I went to bed at midnight.

It's too badd it got cold fast this year I got a late start growing chili peppers this year and a lot of them were unable to fully ripen I worth growing jalapeno peppers serrano peppers Cayenne peppers Habanero peppers and ghost peppers and I brought them in out of the cold a few weeks ago under grow lights but that was only in the loft above the garage which is not weatherproof and it still got too cold in killed the plants so I am going to have to start really early next year

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays yeah every so often we get a winter that is insanely cold
@Jeremazing13 And I'm guessing a lot of snow!!
Jeremazing13 · 26-30, M
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays It depends we sometimes don't get that much snow in the past few years we haven't gotten much some of the snow storms each Winter only give us 3 to 6" and during The whole Winter we barely get 3' of snow sometimes we get at least 3' or so I remember once we had a snow storm that dropped 18" all at once That is the most I have experienced at my house other people in Maine since I have been alive have gotten more than that all in ones no storm People have gotten up to about 25" or more in one snowstorm in Maine since I have been alive but it's not very common in Maine if we do get a lot of snow it is hundreds of smaller snow storms we don't normally get huge snowstorms if we do it's usually a nor Easter blizzard situation
@Jeremazing13 3 feet? We don't get much snow in DC. 3 feet for a winter down here would be a lot. Once in the while we get a big storm. But we haven't had a blizzard since January 2016, almost 4 years ago.

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Sometimes I wish places that don't get snow would get at least a little bit so people could experience it as long as it doesn't get so cold that it affects the environment and animals and vegetation
@Jeremazing13 Are your summers hot?
Jeremazing13 · 26-30, M
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays The summers aren't necessarily hot we may get a few days or a week that are in the upper eighties to mid nineties we had 2 or 3 days this summer that hit about 95゚ and about 6 years ago we had a week where it hit 95° to a 102° however typically we never get over 90 except maybe once or twice a summer so it's not usually all that warm it's usually anywhere from 75 to 85 degrees here on the average day.

From what I assume your definition of being hot is I would say it's not that warm here during the summer compared to all the other warmer climates in the United States like California Arizona or Florida but it does get fairly warm sometimes for where we are but you'd think the opposit of how it actually works I always thought when I was growing up as a kid the more North you went the warmer it got because the northern end of a thermometer means warmer then the bottom but the south is definitely warmer
@Jeremazing13 Interesting. Thanks!
