What would you do if your child worked for you and had a cruddy entitled attitude?

My mother’s solution was to fire me for the summer.
I thought she was joking. Then when I realized it and headed home she told me to clean my room before she got there and it was to be spotless, “seeing that I wasn’t busy at work”. When I didn’t do that she grounded me. Guess what lesson learned. Work your ass off and do your job it doesn’t matter if you’ve got family/friends in high places. Why aren’t more parents like that?
