If a man killed the person that molested their child, do you think they should get prison time?
Like, the same they would for a standard murder?

I don't think he'll care about the prison time, I wouldn't. He'd only be driven by grief, I'd be driven by both; grief and necessity.
Whatever is the motive, the action is reasonable.
Most rapists get away with it. Unless society fixes that, killing them is the logical option. And killing is not always murder, it can be an act of mercy and self-defense.
