How do you feel about a female Doctor Who?

Should the next Doctor be played by a black actor?
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
I don't care what sex, colour or even species plays the Doctor. The part is all about attitude, none of it is about sex, or manliness, or femininity. For me the best Doctors were William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, and Christopher Eccelston (it's a real shame that the producers, etc., didn't make more effort to keep him on). But David Tennant, Jon Pertwee, and Tom Baker were very good too. Haven't seen the Peter Capaldi ones yet.

So long as they steer clear of action hero types the field of possible candidates is huge.
If she can relate the eccentricities of the doctor to the viewers well then there is no problem with it. The Master had a female incarnation.

It works in theory, I just wish she had better scripts to work with.

It’s science fiction. Why does it matter?

dumb af why can’t they stick to the original character format
Straylight · 31-35, F
@SW-User It is cannonically possible for time lords to change genders when they regenerate.
SW-User
@Straylight yeah I meant it in general

@SW-User The actual execution was very inorganic. It would be one thing if they picked her because she was the best choice, but the whole season was trying too hard to make a point.

Come on! We’re talking about a female here. Her name would need to be changed to Dr. Whowhatwherewhenwhy

😁
Sometimes people try too hard to make everything politically correct
