Have You Ever Walked Into A Grocery Store And Bought Something You Thought Was The Meat Of An Animal... And It Wasn't?

The very powerful meat industry, has done and are attempting to pass laws forbidding the use of labels/words like "veggie burger" or "vegan hot dog" on plant-based products. They SAY that it is confusing or "deceptive" to consumers, even though every plant-based "meat" product has meatless plain as day somewhere on the front of the packaging.

I think their own objective is to be deceptive by the sound of it.

@Wraithorn Sounds like it to me, also. If any consumer is "misled by deceptive labeling", they definitely did not bother to read the non-deceptive labeling.

@Piper Their objective is surely to make as much money as possible. Maybe the objective is to be deceptive by pretending not to be deceptive and so confuse the customer into silence.
