How good are you at holding people's attention when making speeches?

Do you have that special knack of being able to invoke a real sense of occasion in your audience or does the whole thing usually just turn into a babblefest?

As captain of a few sports teams in school one of my roles was to give a match report to the whole school in assembly not sure what you call those in the US? I seemed to do well at those. I'd be completely useless these days 🙈

I am yes,having done presentations at work.I prepare and make sure I know the subject,don't rush the presentation and can answer any questions.

well i'm able to hold everyone's attention during presentations but...idk how exactly that happens. i think less text helps.
