how do people get motivation?

how do people get so much motivation? I have trouble getting motivation doing something, it runs out quick and i stop. unless Im doing it for money or with someone alongside. or if I were to get into big trouble if I dont do it.

Forget about motivation. You need discipline & dont let your emotions control you. If you want to do something, do it.
