Do you talk to the wind?

I do more than talk to it, I swear at it.

I'm not a pilot, so I don't have to plead with the wind to allow me to land the airplane normally.

@Lanyx Why do people on this site call it an "airplane" as in Jefferson? "Aeroplane" is not nearly as snooty as you've been led to believe.

@KingKripple This is actually another American change of the original spelling. The Wright Brothers, though American, called their company “The Wright Brothers Aeroplane Company”. In the US, the name most commonly used is now “airplane”, but the British have retained the original name “aeroplane”. Nobody really considers the initial usage “snooty”.....but it’s no longer in common usage in the US.

@DragonFruit I said it was snooty in reference to a Monty Python sketch. Why do people on this type of website often overlook those?
