Slightly off-topic, but does anyone here know the best way to store crumpets / pikelets once the packet has been opened?
I like them but as they are sold in packs of six or eight. I don't want one (or two!) every day, but once opened those left seem to go mouldy very quickly.

I'm assuming these are the things that our family always called "pikelets", which I think is a Nottinghamshire dialect name for them.

@ArishMell Pikelets (at least when I used to see them sold around 15 years ago) are the same as crumpets but half the thickness.
