If Pakistan attacks India, will the US join in to aid India?

@InOtterWords They.ve been at each others throats for many years over Kashmir. Not worth a war.

@SW-User yeah I know they have ongoing border issues, but there is no immigration met threat right now.

@InOtterWords The Muslin versus Hindu fighting has been going on for centuries, but came to a head with Partition in 1947(?) Untold people died as the subcontinent was torn apart -- and they still hate each other.

@ChipmunkErnie I know that, I also am aware that there are muslims in india that choose to live there happily. What I am asking is why attack now, what has prompted this current threat

@InOtterWords Seem to be the ongoing fight over Kashmir, which Pakistan and India have been fighting over for decades. Don't know much about it except the tensions seem to rise and fall in cycles.
