Do people never eat using their hands?

In my country, we usually always eat everything using our hands..but outside my country it seems people only use spoons, forks and knifes etc for eating..i mean they don't even consider using hands as an option. Why is it that? Whats wrong in using your hands provided you washed them properly?? 🤷‍♀️

Nothing's wrong with not using utensils. It's done because we touch chairs and other things before and during eating and we don't want the food and grease and spit all over the gravy ladle salt shaker or the passed along roll basket or side dishes and serving utensils, or our selves if we happen to need to scratch an itch or something.
