Where can I buy a car really cheap?

SW-User
Craigslist, offer up. You can get a cheap car in a lot of places... take a mechanic with ya if you plan to purchase a reliable one.
Drug seizure auctions. Seriously.

@puck61 Numerous local, county, and state, law enforcement agencies hold their auctions as well, and those listings can and do cost a lot of money.
@NativeOregonian Well, then they are all blatantly breaking the law. I find that hard to believe. Opportunists might try to exploit it, but it's all right here..

Nowhere you should. Cheap cars have expensive repairs.

That depends on what you mean by really cheap. If you have an awesome mechanic willing to do work for you at a very good rate, and if he or she is willing to come with you to look at cars and recommend one, then don't bother. You might be able to pick up a car for $2,000 but it might cost $7,000 to fix it.

facebook groups, letgo. try cars.com to see any dealers to compare in case you can get one from a dealer, probably better (not sure your price range)
anywhere actually.
but if you want it to run, it may not be nearly as cheap. I would ask around locally.
