Why have I lost motivation and how can I gain it back? Lately I haven't been feeling like doing anything, even working out which is something that I

really enjoyed and never had trouble finding motivation to do it, I just don't feel like doing anything, and am always tired, how can I get out of this rut?

Just get up off out of your chair and take action.

What is your problem? This is a forum for people to feel safe to vent or get advise. Name calling and being cruel reflects what kind of person you are. Have some compassion!@MarkPaul

@TenderHeart I was just trying to motivate him... you know like a drill sergeant. It's what he said he wanted.

He asked how to get out of a rut. Not to be bullied. @MarkPaul

@TenderHeart And, in my professional opinion the best way to do that is to "just do it," not sit around and talk about it... not sit back and feel sorry for yourself, but to get moving. What exactly are you hoping to accomplish by encouraging someone who states he has no motivation to stay unmotivated. That doesn't make any sense.

Have you considered it could be depression or a mental issue? That is a symptom. It’s not cut and dry. @MarkPaul

@TenderHeart It could. But, even it it is (and neither you nor I know that) do you realize the best solution for depression is not always medication, but almost always some form of action?

It might feel good for someone to convince themselves they are caring for another by offering them pity, sympathy, and an excuse for not taking action but my professional response to someone who states anything related to "no motivation" is to suggest they self-motivate. I'm sorry if you find that offensive. But, it is a solution that anyone can either take or ignore. It's how an online forum works.
