I agree, nothing shows true strength like the ability to reveal vulnerability

We live in an age where cruelty is mistaken as strength, and kindness is mistaken for weakness. .

@SW-User That's so twisted, isn't it ????? Even friends I've had gravitated toward loud, abrasive people, and I feel they view me as 'less' b/c I'm not this assertive, brash person. :/ It really sucks.. I see KIND or shy people as strong.

In some cases. Some see being nice as weak, but it’s good to know all sides of yourself, including your “shadow,” or the not so nice part. No one is all nice, all the time, but I believe there are some bad people who are bad all the time.

Not always but in many people's minds yes it does. Unfortunate, but true.

No, they are two unrelated words.

I think being nice when you want to rip their head off is hard. You need to have self control and be a total fake when you can’t stand them. I’m pretty good at that actually 😳.

I think as you. Get in their face and they back down real quick

If you can keep your cool in front of idiots, that is strength. I don't always have it lol.

I think it's a lot harder to be diplomatic and find the positive in things than it is just to be an abrasive asshat to everyone.
So I definitely agree.
So I definitely agree.

@caccoon I've always found it hard to be an abrasive asshat even in retaliation to others who are abrasive asshats. It just doesn't come naturally.

People often confuse passive with nice.
