no.1 trick to face any addiction : accept that you will occasionally feel like crap for a short moment. that's it, that's the only hold it has on you, making you feel like crap for a short time. it cannot control your behavior, you just have to replace "the idea of taking more to fix the discomfort" with "accepting the discomfort and knowing it will pass".
