Anger is the great driver for me to workout. Especially anger born from sexual frustration.

I feel that way but I force myself to do it. I find this self inflicted suffering makes me angry and results in a better workout.

Yes! Depressing moods are exhausting, almost debilitating.
Exercise seems to help shake that off. For me at least.

How does one push past the pains of working out? Serious question. I want to exercise but it hurts, get tired to fast, heart beat racing, and it hurts
NiftyWhite · 46-50, F
you just have to. set a goal and push for that change @iamnikki

I force myself to do it. If I don't feel like it, I just watch an episode of My 600 Pound Life and it reminds me of what could happen if I let myself go.

LOL you’re funny @DearAmbellina2113

Working out makes me happy. On days I'm not necessarily in the mood, I remind myself how it feels to...and it helps to motivate me.

For the first 2-3 weeks, I literally dragged myself to the gym, then had to force myself to start my routine. After those few weeks the reverse happened, working out made me happy, almost euphoric.
Gradually seeing the changes in my body did wonders for my self esteem. I'm not vain, (well not too much) but I loved both men and women giving me second looks.
Don't give it up, everyone I know who works out say's exactly the same, it's a healthy addiction!

Not really... I find it hard to work out if I'm angry though.

No I tend to work out best if I'm angry about something. Feeling stressed or depressed comes in for a close second. Working out when I'm happy is hard for me.

Usually. But I made a few circuits for myself specifically for when Im depressed, so those help motivate me
Effloresce · 26-30, F
That’s a good idea that I’ve never thought of. I’ll have to see if I can implement that as well@KidAzazel

Sometimes but I also try to workout when I’m feeling bad to improve my mood. Make myself do it

No. Working out when you are not happy will elevate your mood.

It's a struggle to leave my house at all when I am depressed

I just need the time. Sometimes workouts are better when I’m angry.
NeuroticByNature · 41-45, F

SW-User

GoldenWorm · 51-55, M
I work out unless I have a migraine.
