Where were you when the Challenger blew up?

I was 26, and at work...I think either the radio or tv was on in the break room. I guess we’d gotten used to hearing about travel to the space station and unmanned cameras, all going according to plan by then. We couldn’t believe that all those astronauts and teacher Sally Ride were gone—in an instant. 😔
Edit Christa McAuliffe was the teacher.

@bijouxbroussard The teacher was Christa McAuliffe. Sally Ride was an astronaut who was one of the principal investigators of the accident. (I have a story about her on my profile.)
