Should I be the one to pay?

A guy who is renting my place while I am overseas just rang me and said he locked himself out and I must pay for the locksmith because I didn't leave spare keys. Is that true? My parents are old and asleep and I am not going to bother them as they never wanted me to rent it out..😖 is that my responsibility? I am overseas and he wants me to pay by credit card

When you give your tenant keys, always give a spare set. In this one instance, you are responsible. In future, you will always give a spare set. That being said, the guy is an ass for not making his own spare set when he saw that you only gave him one set.

AND now you will have to change the locks when you get home.

@4meAndyou I didn't know about giving spare set. I mean is only few euros...my dad is on the way to open the door( he has spare keys but he wants him out lol

@Awfullybrave I don't blame him. The guy is a pain. I would definitely change the locks when you return.
