I’d be skeptical, tbh. One of my aunts thought my depression was because of an “old family curse” and gave me a gris-gris bag. Turns out clinical depression is the family curse. There have been a few suicides. 😒

It's an awkward one. I've had reiki, reflexogy, cranio-sacral treatments and many variants on the form from loving friends with good intentions. The path of least resistance was to accept the gesture and talk about science on another occasion.

What KIND of witchcraft? From what little I've read, there are different kinds of witches. Some are good, some are bad, some are Wiccans, which is an officially recognized religion in the United States and the UK, and some are Voudun, (technically priests and priestesses). You want to consider the source from whom the healing is being requested before you allow your friend to proceed...and you probably can't stop your friend anyway.

When my brother got prostate cancer, I was going to Reiki to try to help the pain in my back, and I told the Reiki Master about my brother. She suggested that she could do a long distance healing for him...and he did heal. I doubt she had anything to do with it, but still...good energy and prayers can't hurt.
