Which do you tend to do more, take care of yourself or take care of others?

Taking care of others, is taking care of [i]something[/i] in myself. This could almost be considered a trick question.

Most often others. It's how I was even as a kid.

Take care of others. It’s a lot easier for me to deal with other people’s problems than to face my own

The real secret, and the hard part, is to find a healthy happy balance between the two. The issue is when trying to help or be there for others, you can lose yourself. My phrase that I use a lot is "broken can't fix broken".

I’m a wife, mother, and a teacher. That usually means putting others before myself.

Others. Eventually I might make it a priority to get an appointment with my doctor and get my meds fixed, but with others having multiple appointments a week and all, I just don't make time for it.

I always take care of myself but for the next couple of months, I'll be taking care of Rooster while he is recuperating. Finally getting a chance to care for him like he should be.
Otherwise? It would be about equal, I suppose.

I think I prefer to take care of myself. I do try to help others when I feel like I can though.

Well... I focus on myself, at least. "Take care of" is a bit of a stretch I think.

Used to be others but sense dictates that it should be yourself except where someone has truly earned it in a reciprocal manner. So in short, more myself.
