Husband fired again, filing for bankruptcy

Y’all we are at such a low in our lives right now... my husband was fired about a year and a half ago from his job of 10 years.. he became SO depressed that he didn’t even apply for jobs, spent 70k in savings and then eventually did find another job 9 months later.. well now he just got fired from his new job after 3 months. Wasn’t a good fit. And then also just told me same day that he thinks he’s going to file for bankruptcy... I cant believe it.. and my income isn’t that great so now I’m out looking for another job... but I’m just shocked and so upset and although wouldn’t leave him can’t believe hed wind up in this situation.. anyone been through bankruptcy or husband couldn’t hold down a job? Did it work out?

My aunt and uncle ran a pub and, through no fault of their own, ended up having to declare themselves bankrupt. They both initially felt a tremendous sense of relief to not worry so acutely about debt any more. In the long run, it didn't really have huge negatives as neither of them wanted to run a business again. It was the best thing.

I hope things work out for you. I do think you need to have a share in the decisions that affect you, though, rather than have your husband decide all these things without even talking to you.
