Thoughts on the fact that the teen who licked a half-gallon of Blue Bell ice cream and put it back on the shelf could get up to 20 years in prison?

My guess is that they may give her a prison sentence to make an example of her to stop all the others. On a side note i would have thought that ice cream would be sold in tamper-proof packaging?

@SW-User same tbh i always check the seals before anything goes in my basket.. I would have seen the lick marks and swapped it lol

@SW-User Blue Bell said that they freeze their ice cream upside down so there's a natural seal, and if that natural seal isn't there, then.... it's been tampered with.

@SW-User Yeah I'm the same, everything i buy i check the packaging first to make sure it looks unopened. We had an issue with people putting needles in strawberries here a while back. They had to dump tons of them so now they aren't sold loose anymore, it's all in containers.

@33person That sounds good. I haven't bought it for years so i wondered.

@SW-User thats terrible i think anyone who does that deserves 2 yrs tbf.. Ive worked in a few shops to know to check seals bored employees do some gross stuff 🙈

@SW-User I agree, needles in fruit deserves a harsh penalty. I wondered what employees might do to some kinds of food if they are bored or unhappy 😧
