Those aren’t really debates, because for the most part, the candidates aren’t really engaging with each other. Harris was an exception last week as far as balancing speaking to the audience while also engaging others on stage.

As long as the media are acting as political activists instead of journalists ... there is no competition , and the debates are the only way for the voters to see and hear the candidates . The media controls the democrat party and chooses the candidate . Biden is the front runner but the media has turned on him and exposing his son’s frequent misdeeds and his own imperfections .
