Without looking it up, I'd say everything south of the US that isn't Brazil, Chile, or Argentina.

@lilida I dunno. Brazil speaks Portuguese instead of Spanish so I feel like there's that cultural difference, but I guess the same argument could be made for Haiti with French. It kinda just feels weird for Latin America to stretch all the way from Mexico to the vicinity of Antarctica, but... I'll admit I did look it up after typing that and am objectively wrong.

Being descended primarily from people from Latin America. That's how I understand it anyway.

people from Spanish- or Portugese-speaking parts of the Americas, "Latin" in this context meaning Romance languages but for some reason excluding French.

Looking at a Map, it would be the people of Mexico, Central America, and south America

A term to replace hispanic
The U.S. government's Office of Management and Budget has defined Hispanic or Latino people as being those who "trace their origin or descent to Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central, and South America (other than Guyana, French Guiana, and Suriname), and other Spanish cultures".
