Is it cruel for a girl to prefer to date tall guys?
I really don't think so. If people can have their right to not date obese people then such harmless preferences should just apply universally.

Oddly... when I was in school it seemed the only girls I dated were the short ones and I'm 6'-7".
This prevailed throughout the first years of my career as well... there just didn't seem to be any tall girls to date.
And then I was sent to SE Asia for a long-term work assignment - go figure. I met my wife there and she is just over 5 feet tall....
I often joke that we were destined to be with each other so that we could have "normal height" children.
But alas - the kids are all well over 6 feet tall.
