Is it cruel for a girl to prefer to date tall guys?

You have a right to your preferences. Odd that this would even be an issue.

Oddly... when I was in school it seemed the only girls I dated were the short ones and I'm 6'-7".

This prevailed throughout the first years of my career as well... there just didn't seem to be any tall girls to date.

And then I was sent to SE Asia for a long-term work assignment - go figure. I met my wife there and she is just over 5 feet tall....

I often joke that we were destined to be with each other so that we could have "normal height" children.

But alas - the kids are all well over 6 feet tall.

Everyone has preferences. Whether the people you prefer also prefer you, well, there's no guarantees.

I don't think it's cruel... unless you reject them harshly.

Personally I don't care about height, though most guys I've been attracted to tend to be pretty tall... and beanpoles. 😳

No. We all have our preferences. It's what you are attracted to, and what type of person turns you on. It can all change, however, if you meet someone you love and he/she is not your fantasy person.

Not cruel necessarily, just shallow. But if the girl only dates tall guys, would you offended if the guy only dates skinny/fit/thin girls?

It's a choice. I really like tall guys

Well obese people have a choice. Short people don’t. I’m not saying it’s cruel or anything, but there is a difference there.

As a very short guy, it’s totally cruel lol
