I dated a woman with BPD. She was a pain in the ass. I have a friend who has BPD and she has her moments when she is an ass but we're still friends. I think both of them also have bipolar disorder.

@quitwhendone BPD is often misdiagnosed as bipolar disorder so they probably don’t have it

@kxtrinx I realize that but I am pretty sure at least one of them actually also had bipolar disorder. They also often occur together as comorbidities.

@Benjamin83 Well, people with BPD are very emotional. That can make them a bit irrational at times. It's great that you know what you have because at least you realize you have an issue and can work to do something about it. Have you sought DBT?
Benjamin83 · 41-45, M
@quitwhendone thanks for your comments. Whats DBT. And yes im very emotional but dont know how and when to express my feelings etc. Like when a family member dies i dont know how to feel the loss. Im just numb. But yet some things that happened to me as a child can trigger my emotions at any minute.

@Benjamin83 DBT is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Whichever mental health professional diagnosed you with it (hopefully a board-certified psychiatrist) should have told you about it and recommended it as part of the treatment to manage the condition.

Im receiving therapy for my disorder. Just hadnt heard the phrase before. And yes she is very certified.lol.

@Benjamin83 Good for you. Ask them if your therapy is DBT.
Good luck and be well.
