Have you ever accidentally spilled sulfuric acid on your best friend?

I accidentally sprayed resin already mixed with MEk from a spray gun in a friends face building a boat ,he was not suppose to be where he was ,so it was his fault ,and he also fell and hurt his back putting him out of work ,
but even though he was trying to help ,it was stupid of him to be where he was ,,resin gets hot when it kicks off and can burn your skin ,in a mix bucket it can actually catch fire so the have cans with lids so that doesn't happen ,but it does a number on your skin if its exposed ,
so this poor guy is in pain from his back ,while we are wiping acetone on his face trying to remove the resin before it kicks off ,,I felt terrible ,but its wasn't my fault and I am thankful he said so .
I was known for cranking out more boats per shift then the other 2 shifts together ,but speed means nothing if you hurt your people doing it
I hated that he was just trying to help me and got hurt

I have had a 24 volt heavy equipment battery blow up in my face showering me with battery acid ,,I am sure its about the same experience ,,it burned me pretty good ,I was thankful none went in my eyes ,,

When you push for speed ,stupid things happen
now that I am older I get paid for safety and quality
its easier on the body and less accidents
