Ladies how do you get used to the pain of wearing high heels?

I'm 26 and still haven't got the hang of it. Flats and sneakers all the way.
Those of you who wear heels are secretly wonderwomen.

I've never wanted to wear them longer than an hour or two, a couple of times/year.
They're beautiful, if you've mastered the skill.
