@Sarabee yeah,according to one religion. The other ones predate christianity by a mile. How is that possible?

@Sarabee In Christian mythology, Jesus was probably born in the spring -- the date was changed in the third century by Augustine of Hippo, most probably selected for its proximity to Roman festivals like Saturnalia. In fact, the two holidays essentially merged at that point; the holiday known before the third century was completely different from Saturnalia/Christmas's successor.
