@Theliberal If you want the abortion rate to drop, then you should support comprehensive sex education and access to contraceptives. Being educated and informed about sex and being able to readily access things like condoms and birth control is what's going to prevent unwanted or unplanned pregnancies, meaning there will in turn be far fewer people seeking abortions. Now I can't speak for you personally but it seems the vast majority of pro-life supporters also condemn contraceptives and sex ed. Meaning they want to have their cake and eat it too. They want people to just not have sex. And as much as I fucking WISH that could happen, the reality is that people like things that suck. Sex sucks. Alcohol sucks. Weed sucks. Guns suck. People like sucky things. Taking away their sucky things causes an entirely different problem to arise, and so the best option is to mitigate the things that suck by doing stuff that decreases the chances that the sucky things do harm.
