Why do some people on SW talk about the US as if it's the only country in the world?

SW isn't even a US site.

And why does that bother you?

@FrankietheFly No we don’t. Some of us are very patriotic though. I think all people should love their country.

The Sun and other planetary bodies revolve around the US @FrankietheFly

@FrankietheFly I think as citizens of this earth we are equal in the sight of God and no big I’s or you’s. However I love America! And no the world does not revolve around us as far as I’m concerned..

@FrankietheFly who cares ? Or better yet , why do you care?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@FrankietheFly
I'd say about three quarters of the American members of SW think the world revolves around America. If you don't, you are in the minority.
So, you are in the minority then.

@FrankietheFly of course they do . Without the US , there is no UN, no NATO, no control of Russian , Chinese , or Muslim aggression, and a much deminished world economy . There would be much less personal freedom and likely a globalist government . Personally my world is the US . I am very fortunate to have been born American .

@FrankietheFly
You said 3/4 of SW THINK the world revolves around America.
You don't - regardless of your nationality.
That means, you are in the minority.

Unless, you made a mistake.
Did you make a mistake?

@FrankietheFly No, I said overtly that you are in the minority -

by your own definition.

@SW-User A form of psychological and intellectual penis envy?🤔
SW-User
@Abrienda haha 😂 ya think? 😂
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User You'd be surprised to find how untrue this is. A lot of yanks I encounter forget that the rest of the world is a thing.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@BlueMetalChick
A lot of yanks I encounter
Try stepping out of the gutter! I bet you find a better class of people from all parts of the world!
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Budwick Stepping out of the gutter? So you're calling America a gutter. Lol.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@BlueMetalChick
No Honey - your personal,... habitat.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Budwick But I've lived all over the country. So you're calling everything from Delaware to Arizona "the gutter."
Budwick · 70-79, M
@BlueMetalChick You just aren't too quick on the uptake.
Where ever you current habitat is.
The implication being that anyplace will be worse off for you being there.
It's supposed to be an insult.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Budwick Your attempt at an insult failed because you didn't mean it as an insult until you realized your first attempt was a fail. Other people in the country being US-centric is not caused by my presence. If you had meant that from the beginning, you'd have said it. It still wouldn't have made sense though. You would up accidentally calling the entire nation a gutter.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@BlueMetalChick
Other people in the country being US-centric is not caused by my presence
Huh?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Budwick You just said in your last comment that any place I go will be worse because I'm there. This conversation is about Americans too easily forgetting that the United States is not the entire world. You called my "habitat" a gutter because I said lots of the people I encounter are guilty of this.

Now I'm having to explain your own insult to you? Jesus Christ.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@BlueMetalChick No, no - I understand my words easily.
Anyone can understand what I wrote.
I used plain and simple language.
I'm not trying to impress anyone.

The words of yours that I fucking highlighted, are the ones I need translated.
Other people in the country being US-centric is not caused by my presence
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Budwick Yeah, neither am I. We could be using the all the ten dollar words in the dictionary and still not impress anyone. Not with this topic of conversation, are you kidding?

I already explained what that sentence means. I said that other people forget that the rest of the world exists. You said that they do that because of me. The highlighted sentence means exactly what it says - their behavior of forgetting the rest of the world exists is not caused by my presence. Me being there doesn't cause them to be US-centric. You said that they're US-centric because of me being near them.
