The problem isn't with guns used for hunting, or for most pistols--the problem is with assault weapons that are designed to kill as many people as quickly as possible. Those are the weapons that need to be banned, as they were in the US in the 1990s. Hollow point ammunition designed to inflict maximum damage also need to be banned.
