Why are most girls and women mostly upfront about their feelings?

My girlfriend isn't afraid to show her feelings. When she gets emotional, she shows it. When something upsets her so much that makes her cry, she shows it and isn't afraid to do so. Her mom is the same way. Don't get me wrong I admire her for that. I hate showing that I'm crying. Men don't cry. Ladies how are you so straightforward about your feelings?

Why are men so afraid to show any feelings? You have them, what's the point of always hiding them.

@FishingLover23 I think a big part of it is how we're often raised as men, we get often told to not be emotional and women aren't. Like you said "Men don't cry," which is such a stereotypical view that isn't natural. Yes men cry and can be emotional, but you'll be made fun of because men are taught to not act that way so you learn not to. There's no prejudice against women for expressing their emotions so they're free to do so.

I think it's because, unlike like men, we're not encouraged to bottle up our emotions
