@Troy123 I don't know. As is obvious, humans are much different than other animals. One of those differences, according to those who have thought much about this stuff, is that only humans have a soul i.e. are transcendent beings. To use Christian nomenclature --"humans are made in the image of God".

@beckychandler I believe that animals have souls and transcend death. Which animals? I don't know. But I do believe that animals which are capable of love do. And to a certain extent, I believe that animals that are capable if dreaming may transcend death.

I haven't met anyone who's survived it, so i have no reason to believe one way or the other.
