What words are regularly mispronounced? Spell out the sound of your pet peeve mispronunciations.

Mine: IH-meed-ee-ahte-lee (Immediately)

I've heard UH-meed-ee-uhte-lee, and AH-meed-ee-ahte-lee

Also: Axe. (Ask) "I will axe her if she wants to go." Most people who mispronounce "ask" can say the word "ass" with no problem, but have trouble hanging the k on the end of it.

People will say i loose things instead of i lose things

@Lilnonames Yeah, you have to wonder if they like really loud music. A lot of being able to hear the different between Looz (lose) and Looss (loose) is your hearing (ear).

@Lilnonames I can sure understand that. Spelling is hard for a lot of people.

@4meAndyou ive met people down south who still cant read or write.i think thats sad
4meAndyou · F
@Lilnonames Well, it is sad. Some folks just don't have the aptitude, and some parents can't teach their children what they don't know. My own son doesn't write much. He is a very bad speller, but he is still an IT projects researcher.
