What words are regularly mispronounced? Spell out the sound of your pet peeve mispronunciations.

Mine: IH-meed-ee-ahte-lee (Immediately)

I've heard UH-meed-ee-uhte-lee, and AH-meed-ee-ahte-lee

Also: Axe. (Ask) "I will axe her if she wants to go." Most people who mispronounce "ask" can say the word "ass" with no problem, but have trouble hanging the k on the end of it.

Do you get angry about it though?

@canusernamebemyusername Angry? Of course not. I get angry at politicians and other jerks. This is just mispronunciation...lazy mouth sometimes...and lack of awareness at other times. My mother used to say "warsh" instead of "wash". My grandfather used to call the Russian immigrants living in the valley "Rooshuns".😂
@4meAndyou Just asking cause there was one lady on here that would get violent if you didn't say things like she was used to hearing. Not even proper Grammer. Just what she wanted to hear.
And yeah my parents do the warsh too. Lol

@4meAndyou I think that's an older people thing...adding r's where they don't belong. Old church lady told me I could have some purnch (punch) in the back. lol

@iamnikki My Mom told me she picked it up when they were living in Maryland, near DC. She said most of the people she met there added "r" to words like squash and wash and Washington.
