What causes teenagers to feel like they can do whatever they want?

Parents who slack on discipline, an education system that is prevented from interfering in family matters, the lack of spirituality to establish a solid moral compass, corrupt law enforcement and government.

....not just teens.....kids much younger!! Parents dont reprimand bad behaviour when they are little so by the time the start school they dont understand they are expected to conform...

TV shows and movies giving them a false sense of being better than they actually are.

What causes adults to stereotype teenagers??

Lack of long term thinking, lack of permanent consequences and that they really don't care. I didn't when I was young.
