Trump said if he became President he’d eliminate the US national debt within 8 years. Two years in how’s he doing ?

Now I dont like Trump.. AT ALL. But I am not going to blame him for the debt. Sure he has added to it. made it worse. But Short of an undeclared civil war that was always going to happen. The tax breaks for special interest groups, the corruption of congress and the senate and the sheer waste is beyond control and the country went over the economic cliff sometime between the dot com bubble and the first GFC and another is coming. But this time China is better placed to pick up whats left. America as an economic superpower has run its course. Thats just the way it is.
