Offended by client calling me a salesperson>? I work in Marketing

Hey guys, so Ive been working with a client lately. Our job has been to get her into magazines, and stores for her artwork etc. Ive started a marketing and PR Firm, where again she is a client.. With that being said, my background is not in sales but naturally having been in marketing and business development in my career working for corporate America ive been totally immersed in it a time or two, and closed a few large deals here and there helping our sales team out. Ive also been a business development manager, managing the mass emailing, CRM ETC.. With that being said, having started my own PR and marketing firm my goal was to move away from business development and certainly not anything in sales. Ive done a great job, getting the client into all of these placesand magazines she wanted.. But there is one thing..She keeps referring to me as a "salesperson" and blatantly too.. She keeps saying stuff like, "go close those deals!" "You are a great "salesperson", "you are so sales-y" "Go keep doing your little sales thing", refusing to acknowledge that im actually providing PR and Marketing efforts... for my own PR and Marketing firm.. Its really downgrading.. and I tried to explain it to my sister who just thinks its ridiculous. Am I being that sensitive? I feel like its disrespectful and Id like to call attention to it with the client.. Or at least need a good response when she tries to call me a salesperson again... Any advice?

She’s ignorant. Sometimes you can’t fix that. Maybe you can drop the “marketing” word copiously. Or talk about someone else who mistook you (or a close colleague) for a salesperson. You can tell an elaborate story if you want and say something like “i know how she must have felt because I’m in marketing, which is not sales ... so i can relate”
