Why do you lament about your miserable lives here instead of doing something to change them?

Please be honest with your answers.

It's better to light one candle than complain about the darkness.

Doing something, anything, about your troubles gets you closer to an answer. I figure that venting on here does the soul at least some good to let it out and vent. But if a person does Nothing, they can expect Nothing.

Even little kids instinctively know and act on this basic tenet.

@DudeistPriest I'm sorry but they're not the same. Venting does not lead to change. That's why my question was specific. Venting is complaining about the darkness. Taking action is lighting the candle. Venting is nothing. Nothing.
@Wifebeater lmao

Venting allows one to release tension. That is something, not nothing.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy Please read the part about change. Action toward nothing in a roundabout way leads to nothing. I'm suspecting that no one really read the question.
@Wifebeater I read the question and even repeated it back to you, a self-confessed wife beater inside...

Tension can prevent change. Releasing it is how one deals with tension.

Venting is an action which can help change.
@Wifebeater It's up to the individual to exert agency, take responsibility for themselves and take action. It's no one's obligation to teach them to be a civil human being and act in an adult manner except their parents when they were young.

Now if someone want to Pay someone else to help solve their problems, namely a therapist, they can go right ahead. But all they really have to do is first take charge, then the Will towards action. Good intentions are great, but we all know where good intentions alone often lead.

One has to Want to get up in the morning, otherwise life is just existing - not Living.

@DudeistPriest Irrelevant answer. Please answer about yourself, don't make generalizations and spout platitudes. Thanks.
@Wifebeater If you don't want "generalizations" then your original question is--using your own bar--"irrelevant", as it is based upon a generalization.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy Based on anecdotal evidence, which is not generalisation. Try again.
@SomeMichGuy Not worth it. He doesn't understand. His anger is probably getting in the way.
Wifebeater · M
@DudeistPriest When you can't answer, accuse the other of being angry. Good tactic. 🙂
@Wifebeater What "anecdotal evidence"? That is even a worse basis for the obvious generalization which your question clearly is...

Inability to deal with one's own reality as already stated...dude, even you should be man enough to acknowledge that a question to all here ("you") based upon "anecdotal evidence" is a fantastic example of precisely what the word "generalization" means...oh, but you are a god of Grammar, not of dictionaries. Go learn some vocabulary.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy All generalization isn't anecdotal evidence, nor is all anecdotal evidence generalization. There's a difference between the two.

It needs to reach a desired conclusion rather than a logical one.

You won't get this subtle difference as you can't differentiate between questions and statements.

I have not reached any conclusion. As it was aimed at specific people, not the general populace. Hence why second person was used. I didn't say "Why does everyone here". No.

See you're an old man trying a little too hard to be smart. But here's the thing.

You need to know differences between things. Anecdotal isn't always generalization. But good attempt. Try again.
@Wifebeater Problems are first solved in the mind long before they're solved in the real world. Just as an athlete who visualizes victory long before stepping foot on the field, the battle is already won.

This is a valuable insight into problem solving that engineers, lawyers and intelligent people understand that others looking through a one-dimensional lens do not.

But this is besides the point. It's obvious the point here is you've exposed that you're looking for the sh*t like most trolls and we're not giving it to you. Next time, put forth more effort and come across as sincere. At least you'll get to first base, namely onto the field where the adults are.

Thus Endeth your Lesson.
Wifebeater · M
@DudeistPriest This is a really long message for someone who's not giving a shit. Thanks. Try again
@Wifebeater
All generalization isn't anecdotal evidence, nor is all anecdotal evidence generalization. There's a difference between the two.

I agree. And I never claimed any of that.

You said your question was based on anecdotal evidence, but that it isn't a generalization, which I refuted.

Dude, you need to focus more in order to follow a thread of argument, which you clearly cannot do. Please practice focusing on responding in a relevant fashion. Thank you.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy "That is even a worse basis for the obvious generalization which your question clearly is..."

Dude this isn't even worth responding to. I like how you completely avoided talking about how I didn't generalize at all after I exposed you saying that.

It's because you couldn't answer the difference between anecdotal evidence and generalization.

My question is a generalization? 😂😂😂😂😂

Prove it. But you can't. You're pushing 50 and can't even remember what you typed a few minutes ago. Please stick to mahjong and knitting.
@Wifebeater

Dude, you cannot even follow what has been said here as a man pushing 26.

You have been exposed as a puffed-up purveyor of presumed profundity and proffered punditry...when you are truly only a peddlar of poor presumptions, proclamations, pronouncements...

Were you able to read, reason, count, etc., this could be a far quicker and possibly even useful exercise. You would do well to understand all which I do if you ever attain my age.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy Hahahaha nice non sequitur. Just some complete bullshit from a 50 year old who tried to white knight a younger girl and got ignored by her but continued doing so.

Hey Mich, do you think she knows you exist???

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Wifebeater Ah, another irrelevant writing.

Poor form. Try again.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy Try tagging her on this reply too she'll get a notification. Don't think I can't see what you're doing. 😂😂😂😂😂
@Wifebeater I am only correcting even more errors which you have created. I tagged her because it is only right that she know you are continuing to bring her up in this diatribe.

You lost the argument at many points and now you only have ridicule left.

Poor try, bad form.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy The only error made here was by someone who said I made a generalisation when I didn't and tried to divert from the topic.

There was no argument. Just an old man assuming things and being corrected. And of course the white knighting.
@Wifebeater A young man assumed something which started this, and a woman picked up on it.

In the fallout of your inability to admit she had a point, you made a host of further errors.

It is not surprising that your "defense" is to imply that a person whom you think is 50 is thus somehow unable to think, etc.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy What point? Dude, I literally asked a question. Can you still not tell the difference between a statement and a question?

She said my statement is... What statement?

And get over her dude, she doesn't know you exist.

Trying to impress a young girl, you got sucked in and can't let go. Look at you. Arguing about something that has nothing to do with you. What a typical white Knight.
@Wifebeater Her point has been made & covered well.

And get over her dude, she doesn't know you exist.

Trying to impress a young girl, you got sucked in and can't let go. Look at you. Arguing about something that has nothing to do with you. What a typical white Knight.

Dude, I didn't do this to impress her, but now you add to your errors by assuming that you know what is in her head, my head, etc.
