Why do you lament about your miserable lives here instead of doing something to change them?

Please be honest with your answers.

What an absolutely presumptious statement. Some people come here because they have no one else to talk to, absolutely nowhere else to go. They vent out their frustrations because like minded people can relate to them. How do you know whether they are doing something about it or not ? It’s not your place to generalize. In doing so, you have managed to demonstrate a level of arrogance parallel to none.
@SW-User well said.

@SW-User I did not make a statement. I asked a question. There is a fundamental difference between the two. You made several statements, none of which I feel worth refutation.
SW-User
You’ve managed to ignore the basis of what I had to say and picked on something as trivial as sentence structure. Ignorance is bliss, isn’t it ? @Wifebeater

@SW-User The first sentence of your reply was so erroneous, I found that the rest isn't worth reading. I'm sorry, but, do a better job next time.
SW-User
Might I make a suggestion you so kindly cancel your account here and move on to better brighter websites for you. Obviously this isnt a site for you if you can not palate the amount of misery people have to talk about because that is exactly their own predicaments. @Wifebeater
Wifebeater · M
@SW-User I asked a question, I didn't imply what you think I did. Please read it again. It's a question. Not a statement. And it's asking something. Please read it.
SW-User
Read your question again. And again. And again until some semblance of what you insinuated roots in your mind and correct me where I am wrong. I, along with a few people here picked up on that. @Wifebeater
Wifebeater · M
I did correct you where you're wrong. The first sentence. Question. Not statement. Try again.

I'm loving this lol.
@Wifebeater ? You say that people on SW

lament about [their] miserable lives here instead of doing something to change them

and ask why. You don't imply anything, you state that this is a fact, albeit embedded in your question.

If you think people are doing this, why do you think that calling them on it will help?
SW-User
You’re a hoot. Your question is inclusive of a generalization that makes you sound like a moron. Does this help clarify my point ? @Wifebeater
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy That may be classified as a loaded question but in itself it still is a question, even though a statement may be embedded within. This is simple grammar. A man of your age should know this.

Please learn the difference between statements and questions.
Wifebeater · M
@SW-User Well, at least you've admitted it is a question. This is progress.
Anon066 · 31-35, M
Imagine being so miserable you come to a site like this to self righteously condescend to people lol.
SW-User
Deflection. That’s your line of defence when all else fails. Your arrogance is applaudable. @Wifebeater
Wifebeater · M
@SW-User I await a serious point of contention. Thank you.
SW-User
I should know better than to entertain such people but sometimes you just gotta hand it to them as it is. @Anon066

Grow up. @Wifebeater
Anon066 · 31-35, M
He was doing the same shit on another thread earlier lol.

You entertained all of us with this though lol, great job.
@Wifebeater Please learn to read. A person of your age should know how to do that. I said it is a question which includes a statement, and that is what you tried to deny in your original reply to @SW-User.

So at least you are admitting that your question contains a statement, which is what you denied.

Seems you are only here to waste others' time.
Wifebeater · M
@SW-User Please hand me the answer to the question. You haven't answered yet. You mistook it for a statement and tried to virtue signal. Good work, you found an admirer.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy All questions contain statements especially if they have more than one clause. Dude, you're in your fifties, how can you be so oblivious to grammar? I did not deny that it doesn't contain a system. That, however doesn't mean it's a statement in itself. It's a question. Please learn grammar. Thanks.
@Wifebeater
All questions contain statements

Not true.

"Where are you?" is a question which is only a question.

All questions contain statements [b]especially if they have more than one clause.[b]

(Emphasis added.)

Not true.

"Where are you and are you with someone else?"

No statement, two clauses.

Dude, even an inciter of your age should know grammar. Please go learn it before making more false representations of it. A casual reader might actually mistake your attempt at linguistic bullying for knowledge.
Wifebeater · M
@SomeMichGuy More than one clause doesn't mean just two. Good cherry picking to falsify what I've said.

I asked a simple question. Wasn't a statement.

If you can differentiate between them, good for you. Tell that other person.

C'mon man, you're going to be 50 soon, learn to identify a question. It has "?" at the end. And there's some other stuff involved but let's begin with the basics. However, don't go around ending all sentences with a "?". Not just yet. We'll get to that.
@Wifebeater

More than one clause doesn't mean just two. Good cherry picking to falsify what I've said.

You made a blanket statement, a universal affirmative. I provided two counter-examples, which is one more than the number required to definitively disprove a universal affirmative.

Dude, you are attempting to argue without understanding logic. Please go learn it.

Also...

More than one clause doesn't mean just two.

2 > 1

Your claim was that ANY question with more than one clause had to have a statement.

Dude, you are well beyond the intended audience of, say, Sesame Street, so you really need to review basic mathematics. Please go learn which numbers are greater than one. [Hint: this set includes the number two.]

As for "cherrypicking", I came up with these two questions with ease, and any person of even a modest IQ should be able to provide you with counter-examples.

The notion that all questions include statements is simply, provably wrong, not a grammar fact.

Please move on.

Regarding questions, please learn to read, dude, as I said it was a question with an embedded statement, and you agreed to the substance of that before you veered off course.

You are picking an argument after having agreed to agree.

Please pay attention.
