@Llort you can, of course, fast from just specific items. Or you can fast from all food and just drink water, or juice. I choose to do I complete fast and just drink water.

@Llort fasting is a spiritual discipline. It is not something you do everyday. The longest I have done it would be for 3 days where I concentrated on prayer. The way I do it I don't eat anything I just drink water.
