A Subaru WRX is a performance bargain with prices starting in the 20K range new. Effortless acceleration, AWD, awesome weight distribution and Subaru reliability in all kinds of weather. The STi WRX which is faster starts around 30K but is more problematic in the long run. Its not going to out run a Ferrari but I am sure your manhood does not need an “extension.”

I’ve never had a problem in the snow in mine. @wildbill83

@DukeOfEarle my audi is better in the snow than most 4x4 pickups... can be plowing snow over the hood and it still goes... 😅

Until something goes wrong (and it will quickly) and you then realize you have to take it to the BMW dealer and get raped for the repair. @tallpowerhouseblonde

I just love it when people ask for advice on the Internet, but argue with every answer people give them... 🙄

in which case, I can't think of any other appropriate answer than this:

Depends on what you want. Under $45k and ready to go off the dealership lot: Mustang GT or Camaro SS with respective performance packs if you want a V8, WRX or maybe the new Supra (might end up at $50k starting though) if you want a turbo. If you want something cheaper that you can add your own boost to, GT86 or Miata.

If sinking a lot of money into continuous repairs makes you happy, so be it. @wildbill83

In the end do your own research and you will find the Japanese trump the Germans in every category that counts when it come to automotive technology. And as far as Audi-its are concerned, they’re just idiots that drive Audis...poorly.

A good rule to follow is never buy a brand new car that is in its first release year. You will have no way of knowing if its a lemon
