What’s the most expensive thing you own?

marriage certificate.

I have lots of things of value ,my guitar for one ,my classic cars
tools ,Jewelry ,coins and stamps ,comic books and trading cards
Thousands of DVDs and Albums

But you only know their true value if an emergency was to pop up and you needed money quick

I can pay for a funeral real quick ,or buy a nice used car ,get into a home and turn the power on ,pay first and last ,,,and still have lots of things I could sell or pawn

But as someone who has run pawn shops
Things that are priceless to you ,,,may not be priceless to someone else
I can raise more money with my skills ,then giving away things I worked hard for ,,but be over a barrel and need money now ,,,I know I would take a beating

Nothing hurts worse then to be in desperate need
place the most valuable thing you own on the counter ,,and they tell you what its really worth ,and that they will only offer you 1/3 of its value
and its only worth anything to them if they don't already have a million of them in stock

I vowed to never be in that position again when my Dad died
and though I have lots of things valuable to me
In an emergency ,,I would have to face reality
its only worth ,what someone is willing to pay and its never what you paid for it or have into it ,,like a restored car ,you need the right buyer
I think my camera and gear may be worth more than my van at this point...

Value ,,priceless
My heart. And my self. Nothing else comes even close.

@Spokeskitties75 I meant good in terms of money LOL. At least you have patience, I'd like to do the same but when I do a shitty (or even just boring) job I quit it after few years (sometimes months LOL)
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
I hear you... at some point you just except the fact that every job sucks to some degree... and you just stay, master it, become the senior guy... because everyone else has quit... and aim for retirement @Sharky86
