If i ask some one to borrow money, and they agree, but only if its not for booze....

.... But i end up buying booze with some money I had but didnt tell them about, does that mean I broke my promise?

Not really, you didn't use what they gave you to do it so you kept the promise and can potentially use what they gave you for something else.🤷‍♀️
