Why does music sound so much better in the car?

A lot of manufacturers design the inside of the vehicle for good sound. They will put the speakers in the perfect spots. It's a lot like in showrooms where they show off TV's and stereo's, they put the speakers in the right spot for the sound. I'm always up for a drive, just have to get the time.
