The group titles can be used as a Story classification, so you can find like-minded people. They are a holdover from EP. Questions are an SW phenomenon, so that's why you see people using Questions for Stories and making up statements instead of a question per se.

@CoffeeFirst Aaaah... this is the way to choose an arbitrary title for a post?? By asking a "question" and not selecting a group?

I've always asked myself how people do this.

Yup! @helenS

@CoffeeFirst Thaaaank you! 🌷

@helenS I found it pretty confusing too. Especially as there may be several groups with almost identical titles. And then when you select one often it's empty. Annoying.

@SW-User Yes indeed. I think that plethora of almost identical groups is a leftover from a precursor website called "Experience Project" or whatever (I haven't been a member).
But the good thing is that I can choose my own titles now, in the title bar, using the method that CoffeeFirst recommended.

@helenS I only use the group titles because that's what I did on EP. Then you can click on the group and see all posts related to it, and maybe add a comment to an old thread.

@CoffeeFirst It does not work for me. When I ask a question, and I select no category, the system tells me "You must choose a category first." 😢
